Black Homeschoolers in Mothering, Black Enterprise
I was recently told that an article I wrote about black homeschoolers will be published in the January/February 2007 issue of Mothering magazine. Look for it on newsstands early next year.
Also, I will be interviewed by Black Enterprise about the growing black homeschooling movement.
I'm excited about the continuing coverage of black families who educate their children at home. It makes it far easier for black families to make educational choices that are best for their family.

When is that issue of Black Enterprise expect to come out?
i have just decided to homeschool my 7 year old daughter. she has been in private school since k3, but i have managed to find myself a victim of the "world of outsourcing". with now a single income, my husband and i thought that homeschooling was the way to go. i have been trying to locate an african american link, but all have been ended as this one also has older entries, etc.
i am determined to homeschool, but a bit discouraged at the lack of visible african americans making the commitment.
any one else out there?
Wow! I'd forgotten this blog even existed. Luckily, I was subscribed to the comments. :)
You can contact me, and I'll put you in touch with my mom, who's finished homeschooling the five of us. This is she: Karen's Devotions
Do you have a Facebook account? I can put the link to my profile on my Blogger Profile page.
Looks like the Black Homeschoolers Club might still be up and running. :)
